Optimal Placement and Connectivity
To ensure reliable performance, place the Aqara Door and Window Sensor within 400 inches (approximately 33 meters) of the Aqara Zigbee hub. Additionally, ensure that the hub is within range of your Wi-Fi router and connected to the same Local Area Network (LAN).

I love aqara as a brand and these sensors didn't disappoint. I was able to put these on a few interior doors and exterior doors. Using home assistant I was able to create some great automations for safety and also entertainment. I think at this point I have probably 15 of these sensors around my house.
Works fine with Zigbee2MQTT like most Zigbee devices. Simple to pair. Tolerant detection from sensor to magnet. No problems found.

There are a lot of features! Combine this with the door lock and you’ve got one heck of a set up!By the way, running this, it’s really Apple home and SmartThings. I am fairly certain it would be very seamless with Home Assistant because they have sort of an agreement to make it work wellIf you combine with the door locks, and maybe you don’t need them but you get to even have facial recognition. I’m learning more but there’s just a lot to it. My house is already pretty decked out and I’m really aiming for a very cohesive and professional look and layout. The idea is to sort of prove that you can have a system that is just as good and hopefully even better than some of the gold standard products where you actually need to pay the organization to set it up and they generally will build drivers for you if neededI’m running SmartThings along with Aqara, which does a great job hooking it up nicely to SmartThings and it forms a Zigbee to matter bridge. This video shows up on SmartThings nicely and maybe I can update more later on.Since I have Apple TV 4K, I went ahead and hooked everything up with that as well. It’s not my primary one but since my lock can open with NFC on my phone, I went ahead and hooked it up to Apple for that reason. But I can tell you that this runs seamlessly with Apple as well. Video shows up very nicely, etc.
Works great with its own app, and with Apple HomeKit (and HomeKey). Installed easily, and has worked reliably now for a couple of months. It just works. Battery seems to need charging only every couple of months.My only complaint is the keypad is pretty big for mounting outside (much bigger than something like a Ring doorbell). I’d have preferred an option for a more discreet small NFC only pad to use with HomeKey and NFC tags.Installed on a euro door lock with pull spring, using just the screws that clamp it to the cylinder.

Its so smart and understandable thing! You can hire it for 24/7 and enjoy! Just the only problem is the wire plug! Easily theft can take it out and bring it, the design of that area is awful
