Ottimo sensore zigbee

Speriamo in bene.

so far so good

I bought these because I'm an idiot. I unplugged my chest freezer in the garage so I could pressure-wash the floor. I forgot to plug the freezer back in and a week later, discovered a smell. A bad smell. Threw away $300 of food due to my idiocy. So I bought these 6 months ago and am convinced my problem will never happen again.I EASILY paired these with my Hubitat hub, built a custom tile that displays on my wall to show the temp of my chest freezer, and my 2 refrigerators (and hell, kegerator while I'm at it). If the temp dips below a certain temp (based on fridge vs. freezer) for X minutes, I now get a text and verbal notifications in smart speakers in my house. These have enabled many more layers of protection to me from either making another stupid mistake, or hardware failure. The tape hasn't failed in 6 months, either.Regardless, after 6 months, still on original batteries, they are accurate with temp, and reliable. These are awesome.

Easy setup, accurate metrics

Super easy to setup when using a aquara hub, easy setup with other ZigBee hubs and Smart things but you loose humidity. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the inability to use all sensors when using outside of the aquara ecosystem.Lighter for size comparison in photo

Temperature Sensors integrated into HomeKit

I now have 4 of these sensors. After buying my first one and liking it’s performance, I bought a 3-pack. I now monitor temperatures in my backyard and in three places in my house. They integrate very easily into HomeKit with my Aqara M2 Hub. There is even one in our basement that I use to turn on a portable heater when it gets too cold - our rabbit sleeps and spends time down there so this protects it’s environment. [I also have other Aqara sensors and, so far, I am very happy with their products.] It appears the sensors are accurate, and I’m happy with what I got for the reasonable price!I would like to have the ability to automate based upon battery levels, but this is quite minor as I can report the information using an add-on app.

Ignore The Vendor - This DOES WORK GREAT In A Freezer (With The Hub Nearby)!

Want a cheap, WiFi enabled, text messaging enabled (w/ IFTTT account) freezer temperature alarm system, this is it! Sure, you could drop $150 for a stand-alone solution, but (as of this writing) you can get this sensor and the E1 USB hub for < $50 total. All you need is a hub (I am really only interested in one application, so the cheap E1 hub is fine) and this sensor. Register the hub on your network, add the sensor, and presto, you get a WiFi sensor that works fine (screenshot showing it working through a new GE upright freezer). The Aqara app DOES have native notifications for smartphones, but if you want to extra insurance then setup an IFTTT rule (if temp exceeds 32F, send a text message to my phone) and you can get alerts as text messages which are harder to ignore. I put my sensor in the top front corner to maximize exposure and sensitivity to outside air (if it is left open).BIG CAVEATS: I have the USB hub within 15 foot direct line-of-site to my full upright freezer, so I cannot say how well this would work with walls or big/dense stuff in between. NOR can I can say how long the battery will last since it is clearly frozen (though I DO plan to update review with this into). But as you have power for your freezer anyway, as long as you have WiFi signal at your freezer I'll bet you'll have no issues.

It's great, works with SmartThings!! Adding a device handler is the solution.

I shopped around for a few days trying to find an affordable temperature sensor for my freezer. I was not ready to pay upwards of $40 for one. This Aqara fit the need coming in under $20 bucks. But the item description clearly states you need their hub for this to work. I found a video explaining how to add a device handler (bspranger) to the SmartThings hub and it worked perfectly. It's not complicated either adding the handler.I did have a problem connecting the sensor to my hub. I found the instructions on the video to be the issue. When holding in the button until the blue light comes on is wrong. You must continue to hold the button for a few more seconds. Then it connected easily.I have my sensor in the garage freezer. My SmartThings hub is in the living room. I was very pleased to see that the signal reached to the inside of the freezer! I setup a routine in the SmartThings app to send me a message if the freezer goes over 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I tested by removing the sensor from the freezer for a few minutes and sure enough I got a message on my Android phone.I was also impressed with how quickly the sensor updates when the temperature changes. I had another freezer alarm that was extremely slow at reporting temperature changes. This Aqara is much faster.
