There are a lot of features! Combine this with the door lock and you’ve got one heck of a set up!By the way, running this, it’s really Apple home and SmartThings. I am fairly certain it would be very seamless with Home Assistant because they have sort of an agreement to make it work wellIf you combine with the door locks, and maybe you don’t need them but you get to even have facial recognition. I’m learning more but there’s just a lot to it. My house is already pretty decked out and I’m really aiming for a very cohesive and professional look and layout. The idea is to sort of prove that you can have a system that is just as good and hopefully even better than some of the gold standard products where you actually need to pay the organization to set it up and they generally will build drivers for you if neededI’m running SmartThings along with Aqara, which does a great job hooking it up nicely to SmartThings and it forms a Zigbee to matter bridge. This video shows up on SmartThings nicely and maybe I can update more later on.Since I have Apple TV 4K, I went ahead and hooked everything up with that as well. It’s not my primary one but since my lock can open with NFC on my phone, I went ahead and hooked it up to Apple for that reason. But I can tell you that this runs seamlessly with Apple as well. Video shows up very nicely, etc.
Works like a charm, this model doesn’t have a neutral, my house is older and it doesn’t have a neutral wire. Works perfectly.
What a great doorbell! Works great with HoneKIt! When you are on AppleTV and the doorbell is rung the live feed is displayed on the TV!!!! Aqara integrates seemlessly HomeKit. Pair it with the Aqara door lock for face recognition and fingerprint entrance. I replaced standalone devices, August lock and Blink doorbell into one cohesive unit. Worth every penny for those with an Apple or Alexa smart homes.
I love these little sensors!Aqara makes awesome sensors but I owe my sanity to this little guy.I have this and all my aqara sensors connected through a zigbee conbee USB adapter to my Home Assistant server running on an Rpi 3. It has been connected for 2 years on a single battery. My goal for this sensor was to count the amount of time my cats self scooping litter box cycles and trigger a notification after so many scoops. Installation was as easy as using the included sticky pad and it hasn't ever fallen off. I trigger my automation off of the "tilt" entity and it hasn't failed me yet.I can't recommend these sensor enough for anyone looking for seemless home automation integration.
This meant my needs perfectly. However given physical limitations, any smart plug will require power in some manner. Otherwise without neutral you can't power the switch.I had this switch with a light switch with a lamp with smart bulb. Controlling the smart bulb off meant no power to the aqara switch. The solution was to plug in a mesh network hub in the shared outlet. Any device that doesn't power off will work. Power is now completed in the circuit and the aqara won't lose power.
I had previously purchased one of the Aqara Smart Lock U200, which connected well to Apple HomeKit. However, it was not connected remotely to the Aqara app without the M3 Hub. Once I had the M3 in place, everything connected nicely, and I was able to remotely control the lock and add new temporary codes at a distance.
